Argh. WWE -- back when it was the WWF -- was once home to men who strutted around with parrots, tortured folks with snakes, and a man who wore rubber bands in his facial hair. That last man was Captain Lou Albano, and it was thanks to his involvement with one Cyndi Lauper that wrestling became less of a white trash, southern redneck, goober sort of thing, and began making the move towards the "sports entertainment" goliath it is today.
While the cause of death is as yet undisclosed, Captain Lou died today at the age of 76.
