We got an e-mail at Wayward Blog regarding some big announcement the Sprint Center had to make regarding an upcoming concert. We were hoping for a Backstreet Boys reunion tour, but it turned out to be the Elton John and Billy Joel Face 2 Face Tour.
According to the press release accompanying the announcement, here's how the whole show will work:
Elton and Billy open the concert with a series of duets, playing twin pianos and trading vocals. Each artist then performs a set with his own band. A grand finale brings the two superstars and their supporting musicians back together for a closing encore. This includes some of both Elton and Billy's greatest hits along with an unpredictable selection of rock and roll classics.
I'm just hoping they duet on "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart."
Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 24 at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.
Oh, and what better time to post the new video from Lily Allen, wherein she kidnaps Sir Elton and forces him (or an actor portraying him) to admit that he loves her?
