Stream Them Crooked Vultures' new one

Posted by Jason Harper on Tue, Nov 10, 2009 at 11:23 AM

This is no doubt going to appear (or has already appeared) on all the national blogs, but I'm going to post it here anyway because I want US -- you and me, kid -- to listen to this together.

Here's why: Them Crooked Vultures is a super-badass supergroup comprising John Paul Jones on bass, Josh Homme on guitar, John Paul Jones on bass, Dave Grohl on drums and, oh yeah, John Paul Jones on bass, plus Josh Homme on guitar. Did you get all that? Yeah, pretty big.

Their debut album, Them Crooked Vultures, comes out next Tuesday, but you can stream the whole thing right here 'n now courtesy of YouTube, via the embedded video below. Just hit play and let the low-slung buzzard rock fly, or advance/repeat tracks by clicking on the handy arrows on either side of the viewer.

Like? Don't like? Lemme know in the comments below.

If I found this album and no one told me who it was I would think it's a copy of the new Queens of the Stone Age album.

I need to stop getting excited about "Supergroups"...they are almost always a disappointment.

You're letting yourself know that you like?

I like too, though I've only sampled about 20 seconds of the first five tracks. Stoopid work...

A magical vacuum force is pulling at my face. My flesh is extending, stalagtite-like toward the computer screen. And it's only song 2!
