At this time of year, you can't just go to a regular old concert. That wouldn't be festive. But maybe you're not into Christmas carols and nativity scenes. Maybe you'd rather headbang to the devil's music while wearing a Santa hat.
That sounds about right for the "Holiday Bash" happening at Riot Room tonight. At least, I can't imagine the young fellers from Thunder Eagle getting too holy in between sludge-y, Southern-tinged screamo rock songs like "Alcoholocaust" and "Zompire."
Obviously made up of thrill-seekers, earlier this year Thunder Eagle gave a nod to Worlds of Fun by dubbing its debut EP Ride the Timberwolf. The band is currently working on a full-length. For a taste of the new, dig the raucous track below, "Classical Decomposer."
The cover for tonight's show is $5. Runaway Sons and Jabberjosh are also playing.
