If anyone wants to buy a blogger a Christmas present, here's an idea: how about a plane ticket to Washington D.C., and a ticket to the Scream reunion at the Black Cat on Sunday, December 20?
How this managed to fly under the radar until now is beyond me, but holy crap. I want to go so bad I can taste it.
Granted, most punk reunions end up leaving a bad taste in my mouth, and I end up wondering why I didn't just stay at home and listen to the record, saving myself from some terrible, terrible performances and ridiculously high ticket prices. Still, I've yet to learn my lesson, and Still Screaming such a gem of a record, it'd be worth the risk.

Fascinating take on this, being a pilot I'm always keen to learn much more about aviation.
Aviation has been a passion of mine for numerous many years, thanks for that post.
I put on that show at the space.... did anyone see the reunion show?
Cheers!
I have the ($12) ticket to the show and an airline ticket slated to get me into the venue just as they start. Thanks to the snow, I should get there just as their turning off the lights...
Any idea what the line up is? I used to love that band. Is Grohl playing drums? First time I ever saw him drum was w/ them at a space on 47th & Troost. I used to throw shows there w/ some other guys from Season to Risk, Pre-Season to Risk. My old band Nine Lives opened. I think maybe 40 people were there. I'd love to see them again.
