Vedera, Janelle Monáe perform with this year's Lilith Fair

Posted by Nick Spacek on Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM

After a ten-year hiatus, the all-female music festival Lilith Fair makes its return next summer. A surprising return, especially considering most of the touring fests from the '90s have become big weekend events or ended (Lollapalooza for the former, H.O.R.D.E. for the latter).

Whether or not it's coming to Kansas City remains to be seen, as the first leg of the tour is all that's been announced. However, some KC natives will be part of the tour this year. Janelle Monáe and Vedera will both play the festival's secondary stages.

Maybe we'll be lucky enough to see Ms. Monáe play in Kansas City. She's blowing up everywhere, but has yet to grace a local stage with her presence. Vedera, on the other hand, hits the Beaumont on December 19.

Check out some video from the ladies after the jump.
