Disco dance act Hercules and Love Affair are set to perform a DJ set at the Record Bar on February 5.
Their 2008 self-titled release on DFA was a critical success, with the Village Voice calling it "a triumphant bit of Brooklyn neo-disco," as well as it earning a 9.1 from Pitchfork and charting on KJHK.
The show will have an opening set by Brent Tactic & Bill Pile. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be on sale through Wantickets and Ticketmaster. As an incentive to not give in to Ticketmaster service fees, the first 30 tickets are $5, an offer available only through Wantickets. That discount ticket offer ends Sunday January 10 at 11:59 p.m., but I doubt they'll last that long. After that, the price bumps up to $10 -- not a bad price for some booty-bumpin' disco dancin'.
