Rockabilly isn't necessarily the best word to describe what Dan Sartain does. "Go cat go" does not enter into his musical vocabulary, but he does have that hiccuping style of delivery that defined artists like Charlie Feathers and Warren Smith.
The video of "Atheist Funeral" comes from last month's tour with the Night Marchers. The song comes from Sartain's last release, which was a single on Jack White's Third Man Records. A new full-length, the first since 2006's Join Dan Sartain, is due out later this year.
