Tonight marks the start of the Record Bar's new Tuesday night DJ series, "Danger Dance City." Steve Tulipana and DJ Just will perform together, as well as switching out to allow other local, regional, and national DJs a chance on the decks.
There will also be special events attached to the DJ series. Tonight's event is a listening party for Vampire Weekend's new album Contra. The special presentation from the Beggar's Banquet promotional agency and Tito's Vodka will feature giveaways and Tito's will be on special from 10:00 p.m. to midnight, as well. Giveaways include remix CDs, autographed posters, and possibly vinyl.
"Danger Dance City" gets going at 10:00 p.m., and is free for those 21 and up, and $2 for those 18-20.
