Get Flaming Lips tickets now

Capitol Federal Park Sandstone announced the first show of 2010 season yesterday, and it's a doozy: The Flaming Lips with the Dead Weather, Minus the Bear, and the White Rabbits.

Tickets officially for the Friday, April 23, show go on sale to the general public Saturday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m., but you can grab them right now through 10:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22 by heading to this page here and entering the password "FLAMING."

The pre-sale information comes courtesy of 96.5 The Buzz's newsletter. Thus, the first 96 people to buy tickets get them for the low, low price of $21.65. After those lucky 96, tickets go up to $31.65, which is a pretty decent price for such a big, bad-ass rock show.

No kidding about the price being good, even at $31 (though you will, naturally, be hit for about $10/ticket by our favorite monopoly).

I was fortunate to have checked my email at the right time; I got a couple discounted tickets.

It looks like the entire show will be G.A.

And I can honestly say I want to see every band on this bill.
