When Motion City Soundtrack's Justin Pierre came through town to play an in-store at Love Garden and shoot a segment for Scene-Stealers, he also did a little time with Lawrence's the Dead Girls in their basement studio.
Pierre and the Dead Girls crew wrote and recorded a song in five hours. Steve Squire recorded the song, entitled "It's All Happening," and the whole process went like this:
After arranging a couple of riffs, everybody instinctively worked together assemble the pieces into a song. After one live take, Justin and Cameron wrote some quickie lyrics and recorded vocal parts. Add a little Warnock backup sauce, and we're good to go.
Evidently we totally slept on it, because it was offered up way back in November. So, we're making up for that, and offering it for you now. Enjoy the pop!
