Lily Allen returns to Twitter

Posted by Nick Spacek on Tue, Feb 2, 2010 at 8:11 AM

Lily Allen returned to Twitter this morning. You can follow her via @lilyroseallen.

Shit. Kevin Smith's tweets were kind of balanced out by the fact that she'd bid Twitter adieu back at the end of September, saying, "I am a neo-luddite, goodbye."

She's evidently got "really exciting stuff to share with you." Stay tuned, kids. She's the only celebrity tweeter whom I know of to offer scavenger hunts.

A great tester will have a systematic approach to testing that they can implement to any given scenario without reluctance. The one I got numerous moons ago was to document the tests for getting out a can from a lemonade vending machine. I did the whole requirements, analyzed the testing environment, found out the machine was fit for testing and started the "tests". Put in too little money, make money given back, put in proper money, have money repaid etc. Then when I did eventually press vend, the can got stuck instead of descending to the tray. So I implemented the "workaround" of shaking the machine with my shoulder. My report concluded that the machine was periodically unfit for use unless a physio could also be set up in the building to contend with the manifold aching shoulder joints that would result from its implementation.

@Patchchord: When the technological options are controlled by a nationwide media conglomerate, my inability to do something from my couch isn't "an unwillingness to learn." It's like blaming the floor manager at Best Buy for the prices in their ad circular.

While I sympathize with your complaint that blaming people for posting anonymously is ridiculous when people could be prevented from doing so, I feel that I'm within my rights to be dismissive of anyone unwilling to sign their name to their opinions.

A "constructive dialogue" is nigh-impossible when conducted with a party unwilling to to be held responsible for what they say.

Someone who doesn't understand how to foster a constructive virtual dialogue within social media while blaming their lack of knowledge around the technology while expressing an unwillingness to learn means absolutely nothing to me. Thanks for playing, though.

"You guys" meaning Village Voice Media. They control the software which I use. I'm the blogger, working from from my couch and watching Pulp Fiction, not the IT guy.

Nice. Berate your readers for anonymous posting even though you guys have complete control over whether or not anonymous posts are accepted on this blog.

Agree that anonymous posting is for chickenshits. But calling someone out on that when you control the platform is pretty lame.

It has nothing to do with e-mail addresses. It has to do with being willing to sign your name to your opinion. While the quality of the post content may be debatable, I do put my name on everything I post.

It's pretty obvious you are here to entertain yourself, because you post the most inane drivel I've ever seen on this blog.

If I posted my email address would you respect my opinion? I personally just prefer to not give anyone I don't know my email. Thanks.
