Tonight is Kansas City's First Fridays. As per usual, you can check out our weekly First Friday Hitlist right here for all the hottest, coolest, and best exhibitions going on in and around the Crossroads.

Saturday, from 6-9:00 p.m. at Lawrence's Wonder Fair Art Gallery, is the opening reception for Justin Marable's "Why ReThink," a traveling exhibition featuring screen prints of Marable's work that represent sentimental and important places in Topeka. Accompanying the work will be written explanations of why he decided to "ReThink" that location. Also at the reception will be Topeka-centered poetry readings by Matt Porubsky, Leah Sewell, Eric McHenry, and Jeff Fouquet, as well as live music from Topeka band Interior Sea. Visitors will also be able to find out more about the upcoming ReThink Topeka event.

Also on Saturday, the Fairy Tale Village exhibit begins at Crown Center. Running from Saturday until April 25, the Fairy Tale Village offers "a world of make-believe to interact with characters from favorite stories and rhymes" for you and your kids. You'll be able to visit the brick house from "3 Little Pigs," Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's house, and a reading area, where you can read your kids fairy tales (kudos to Crown Center for offering something that promotes reading, by the way). The exhibit is open during regular Crown Center business hours.
