News from the rumor mill: Lady Gaga, Green Day and the recently reunited Soundgarden are said to headline this year's Lollapalooza in Chi-town.
Epic rockers Arcade Fire (who headlined the festival in 2005) may be back to join the mix, too. The two-day event, slotted for August 6-8, generally announces the official line-up in April, but bloggers are already aflutter with speculations as to who the six headliners will be. Lady Gaga is for youngsters and teens brainwashed by videoclips and the mass media. If you go to her concerts you will encounter exclusively children. Its not for mature people. She has got a fine voice and she can play the piano only the music is really crap, euro trash, horrible, you hardly need a click of the mouse to pen that.
I'm not a sexually confused 15 year old Abe. Green Day and Gaga sound like two very relevant headliners to me. The thing people forget when speaking about what music is "good", is the fact that people have different tastes. The more you try to sound like a snobby expert, the more you sound like someone who is growing old.
