Throwback MP3 of the Week: Cocknoose, "Fuck You Die"

We've featured Cocknoose before as a Throwback MP3 of the Week, but when recently digging through my records, I discovered a copy of the group's first 7", The Greatest Band of the 21st Century, released back in 1992.

Considering the track we featured before was a cover of the Fabulous Freebird's entrance theme, "Badstreet U.S.A.," it only seemed fair to revisit Cocknoose and let you hear an original of theirs. In this case, it's the classic "Fuck You Die."

From the manifesto in the liner notes, you get an idea as to where the band is coming from:

They come from the roach infested bowels of a dying small town subculture, born out of the the unholy influences of cheap beer, bad sex, professional wrestling and scum rock (bowing in praise daily to the king, Mr. G.G. Allin), and they have come to bring the danger back into punk rock.

Nobody's making music like this anymore, save folks like Circle of Trust, and even they don't play out as often as this town needs them to.
