For those of you that were intrigued by our review of the Fountains of Folly compilation, but unable to get your hands upon one, we've some good news.

Recycled Rockstar Industries made the compilation available for free download, so hop on over to their site and snag yourself some very loud local punk rock jams.

Along those lines, Recycled Rockstar will release a second volume in the Fountains of Folly series later this spring. While the first was subtitled "Songs of Sin & Salvation from Kansas City and Beyond," volume two will have the secondary moniker "Hilbilly Hymns from our Home in the Heartland." If your band would like to participate, you can get in contact with Recycled Rockstar via their website, and they'll get you all the details.

Should your act be on the comp, you'll also be invited to perform at the Spring Invitational, hosted by the company at the Riot Room on April 16 and 17, which will also double as a release party for the compilation.

Thanks for the kind words, Nick. We're looking forward to the release of the next compilation as well as the Spring Invitational. We're also excited to announce the release of our new pulication called An Insider's Guide to Midtown Mayhem. You can read it online at MidtownMayhem.com, and you can find it in storefronts throughout Kansas City along side other great publications like The Pitch. Cheers!
