Soft Reeds' Are Bastards available for download

Posted by Nick Spacek on Tue, Feb 23, 2010 at 3:33 PM

Soft Reeds, the new project from former Golden Republic frontman Ben Grimes, has finally released their full-length. Out digitally today via the band's website, the record is entitled Soft Reeds Are Bastards.

It's a softly acoustic version of what Grimes did when he was with the Golden Republic, and is about the sweetest and most heartfelt indie-pop I've heard in a while.

You can listen to the album below, as well as download it. Available for a minimum donation of $5 (if you really like the band, you can pay more), you can download it in high-quality 320 Kbps MP3, FLAC, or about any other file format your little heart could desire.

If you really like what you hear, check the band out live at the Record Bar on Saturday, February 27 with Pro & Contra and Sam Billen.

You sincerely expect us to believe that you really know what you are talking about? My pet tortoise knows more than you. Leave Britney alone!
