Since Public Image Ltd. is playing Coachella this year, it only makes sense that they'd throw in a few other tour dates while they're on this side of the pond. The band played seven shows in the United Kingdom at the tail end of last year.
The reviews of shows like the one at London's O2 Academy Brixton were stellar and uniformly positive. Thus, it would behoove you purchase tickets when they go on sale next weekend.
This is one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime shows. PiL hadn't played together in nearly 18 years before those shows back in December, and the likelihood of them coming to Kansas City ever again is pretty much nil.
The John Lydon-fronted band (along with Jah Wobble, perhaps one of the most underrated bassists ever) hits the Midland By AMC on April 26. Tickets go on sale next weekend.
Anyone see them when they opened for INXS on the Kick tour?

Hey Nick, I'm also curious...you really think this show will sell out in minutes? I think you're giving KC too much credit. Leo Cohen was a bigger get and I don't think that sold out at all.
I was thinking the exact opposite when I heard about this, that the Uptown seemed like a more appropriate venue. I'll be shocked if PIL can sell ~3500 tickets (isn't that around the number of capacity at the Midland?) in KC.
Unfortunately, Jah Wobble won't be with them.
"The 'reunited' band includes frontman John Lydon, former members Lu Edmonds on guitar and Bruce Smith on drums, and new addition bassist Scott Firth. Original guitarist Keith Levene and bassist Jah Wobble both declined to participate in the tour."
