The Belles releasing Time Flies When You're Losing Your Mind in June

Sometimes, it pays to check MySpace. While it is what SNL's Seth Meyers referred to as "the Internet's abandoned amusement park," some bands still use it to post news and info. Case in point: the Belles.

It's been six long years since the duo of Chris Tolle and Jake Cardwell last released anything, that being the Idle Acres EP. Their last full-length was their 2003 debut, Omertá. I'd pretty much given up any hope whatsoever of them ever putting out another release, actually, especially as Tolle is currently a member of Olympic Size.

However, the band posted a bulletin and blog on MySpace yesterday, stating that their next release is to be titled Time Flies When You're Losing Your Mind, and will see a June release on S-Curve Records. Says the band in the bulletin, "It will include a collection of songs written and recorded over the last few years. We are really excited about it and hope you will like it."

I'm pretty sure we will.
