Kansas City indie supergroup the Caves will be backing the Belles as that band tours in support of their forthcoming Time Flies When You're Losing Your Mind.

The group features Andrew Ashby, formerly of the String & Return, David Gaume of something like a million local bands (Aerialuxe, Nasa's Little Secret, the Stella Link, et al). the Belles' Jake Cardwell, and Elizabeth Bohannon. Their sleepy post-indie will fit in very well with the Belles' acoustic indie pop. I imagine it'll help flesh out those new tunes, as well, giving them a bit more heft and breadth -- something that's very necessary to get those songs heard above the usual concert-going chatter.
