Future Islands, who play a synthy brand of post-punk they refer to as "post-wave," are at the Foundation Room. They've been through the Bottoms before, when they opened up Dan Deacon's party at the Pistol last May. Opening tonight is Lower Dens, who have a very good song on their Myspace page called "Hospice Gates.

Harmonious indie-pop upstarts O Giant Man seem to be gaining a bigger following around town, and for good reason: their self-released debut shows a lot of promise. They're at Davey's Uptown tonight with We Are Voices

What else?

I hope the Future Islands show starts earlier than last year.
