William Elliott Whitmore at the Bottleneck

Gravelly-voiced Americana act William Elliott Whitmore is bringing his rustic charm to the Bottleneck in August. Despite his Iowa roots, Whitmore is steeped deep in Delta blues (hell, his record label is called Southern Records), and most of his live tunes consist of Whitmore's smoky, floorboard-rattling bass croon and banjo or guitar. He'll be in Lawrence on August 14.
