Neko Case will beat down any poorly behaved fans at New Pornographers shows

North America's number-one indie-rock supergroup the New Pornographers will stop by Liberty Hall in Lawrence on July 27. Tickets are on sale now. They're joined by Imaad Wasif and San Francisco's Dodos, who offer pleasant, Shins-y folk-rock tunes. Should be a hell of a show. 

As a primer, check out this clip of Neko Case reacting to the jackass fan who threw a CD at Carl Newman at a New Pornos show over the weekend. "I'm a piece-of-shit white trash and I will fuck you up," she says. Every new thing I find out about Neko Case just makes me like her more and more.

Awesome. :) Have you seen this clip of her shedding a tear while Jesse Winchester sings "Sham-A-Ling-Dong-Ding?" Tough as nails, it's true. But the heart is obvious, too.
