For a while there, Omaha's It's True was starting to feel a little like a local band. Seemed like it was bringing its sprawling, melodic rock jams to a venue in Kansas City, Lawrence, or Columbia every couple of weeks. The band even released a split 7" record with Lawrence's Cowboy Indian Bear a few months back. Things were looking up.
Well that's all gone to shit, apparently, because
PopWreckoning is reporting that the band announced that it was breaking up at a gig last week at the
Slowdown, and that its last show will be July 24, at the MAHA Music Festival in Omaha. More details as we get 'em.
