White boy dreads, babies with headphones, pre-teen tie-dye, lip piercings galore and, oh yeah, the bands too. (That's Sublime with Rome, Matisyahu, and Dirty Heads, to be specific.) We've got shots of last night's Buzz Under the Stars show for you at City Market.

Yeah, I must have missed it. I stayed for the intro of the first song of their standing O, and then left when I had no idea what it was...
...where was I standing? Up against the stage, in the front. I expected some (okay, a lot of) pot and some moshing and some crowdsurfing, but I got a lot more than I bargained for... EVERYONE up there had a joint, I got punched in the arm HARD by a guy aiming for another guy, and I constantly had to help push 200-pound men above my head...guys who should have known better than to crowdsurf. I've been to tons and tons of concerts and this was one of the most unpleasant.
I wondered if they didn't play Badfish as a slight to their tribute band of the same name?
And I am not a stoner or a hippy Emily, but love Sublime and had no problem with the fans there. Not sure where you were standing.
Hey Emily the very last song of the night was Santeria...did you miss that?
For a bunch of happy, stoned hippies, the Sublime fans were kinda douchy and inconsiderate. It felt like I was at a freaking Mastadon show or something. Oh well. Dirty Heads played a wonderful set, as did Matis. And Sublime w/ Rome did a pretty good set too, although a lot of my favorite songs (Badfish, Santeria, ect..) weren't played.
