You know how crusty, curmudgeonly old people are so fond of telling us youngsters that rock music will make us deaf? Or turn us into stupid, worthless, no-account-no-good-sonofabitches? Apparently, now, music can make you high.
Simply put, iDosing is a bunch of droning noise that makes you feel as though you're high.
According to Mark Woodward of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (who are actually giving this "trend" the time of day, amazingly), kids are supposedly finding "dealers" to send them MP3s that contain "bi-neural" waves that simulate what feels like to be baked. Those who dig the buzz they garner off the first track, "Gates of Hades," can apparently purchase other tracks that simulate the feelings of marijuana, cocaine, and peyote. Unlike most dangerous drug trends that threaten to pollute the innocent, potential "drug" users are advised to buy a 40-page guide to learn how get properly stoned on MP3s. (Look at the bright side: it might get kids reading.)
Here is an actual quote from one of the students: "I heard that it was, like, demons through an iPod or something."
Well, don't let on that we have a collection of drone artists here -- we may just be the cradle of iDosing, instead of just the Meth capital of the world. Wut-oh.
Check the video below. Do you guys feel anything? Besides bored, annoyed at the typo at the beginning of the video?
Nothing? Well, this is what you're supposed to feel like.
