Fourth of July 'Before Our Hearts Explode!' out later this month, stream a track now

I'm listening to Explode! right now for the first time and can report that it's got lots of horns, some smart lines (Don't be so sure of things / Not even wedding rings), inviting melodies and a generally fun, ramshackle vibe to it. We'll have a more professional review in the days ahead. In the meantime, the band's planned two record-release shows in celebration of Explode!, one in KC and one in Lawrence. 


On Thursday, August 26, FOJ's at Crosstown Station, with Hidden Pictures, the Caves, and the Dactyls.

On Friday, August 27, the band's at the Jackpot, with Mansion and Conchance.
