You've gotta love an event where a 24-oz. "pounder" is handed to you as soon as you waltz through the door.

That's exactly what will happen at Pabst Presents: A Spaghetti Western Death Country Carnival on August 28 at Knuckleheads. As if the title of "Death Carnival" wasn't enough to wrangle your ass down to the East Bottoms, five bands are playing too, including beloved locals Adam Lee and the Dead Horse Sound Company and the Grisly Hand.

Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, from Austin, Texas, and Mountain Sprout, from Eureka Springs, Arkansas, will be there; and so will Vaquero, which is project focusing on Spaghetti Western music and culture.

Suck down your PBR in the flickering light of spaghetti western movies. (And get messy with spaghetti, which the kitchen will be serving up all night. Really.) Stetsons and wranglers are encouraged: there will be prizes for the best dressed man and woman.

Here's an epic gun duel from Sergio Leone's The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, for inspiration.
