DJ Jazzy Jeff booted from the decks (again!)

This time, it wasn't us.

DJ Jazzy Jeff -- who is probably the first DJ that most Americans had ever heard of -- was removed from Las Vegas club Surrender at Encore after management decided they didn't like what the DJ was playing at a special tribute to the late DJ AM.

Sounds familiar, right?

More after the jump.

Jeff reported traveled to Vegas specifically for the event -- possibly for free -- since this was charity event.

Here's what Jeff tweeted about being kicked out of the venue:

This follows Kansas City's original embarrassment earlier in the year, when Power and Light kicked DJ Jazzy Jeff offstage for "playing hip-hop," according to Jeff. (P&L said later that Jeff was pushing the venue's sound system too hard.) Here's our earlier coverage of the event.

You're a fucking idiot.

Its used to fit more articles on a page (See http://blogs.pitch.com/wayward... so that people can click through to read extended versions of the articles that interest them and ignore the others without skimming through extra text.

"More after the jump."

What does that even mean? When I read something, there is no 'jump'. It has to be one of the most overused phrases across all blogs of the Pitch that adds nothing to the writing whatsoever. The way I see it, that phrase pretty much just discredits anything worthwhile within the writing.

While I enjoy mostly everything from the Pitch, for the love of god, please stop using this useless phrase.

He should be use to this by now.

I wonder what kind of "hip hop" he was playing?
