The Vice Guide to Reading Writing about Music is funny and mostly true

As part of its Anti-Music issue, the magazine's published "A Reader and Writer's Guide to Reading Writing About Music," an alphabetized glossary of words and phrases music critics use, accompanied by explanations. "Returns to" and "Say What You Will" are my favorite entries.

Truth. I cringed when I saw "frenetic."

Good article, would have liked to see the word "urgent" in the list. I seem to constantly see that word pop up in reviews. "The band plays with urgency" "The record has an urgent feel to it" or "this record is an urgent call to..."
