This weekend is the rockabilly hot rod extravaganza, Greaserama.

Hit up the pre-party tonight at the RecordBar, where you can pre-register your hot rod, and catch Gibber Jabber, The Nevermores and Cretin 66. Head down to the Boulevard Drive-In tomorrow between noon and midnight for twelve sweet hours of bands, rockabilly style and kustom rides, courtesy of the Punk Rods.

Here's what Greaserama is all about:

It began as a punk rock style do-it-yourself ethic reaction against boring, megabuck street rod shows with the requisite oldies but goodies. (Really. Does anybody need to hear 'Little Deuce Coup' every single Saturday at 11:35AM for thirty years??!!)

Check out the band schedule after the jump.

Any more pics of cars? I dig this style of hot rodding. Sorry I missed out on this event.
