The Google vs. iTunes showdown draws ever near

Your Android phone could become significantly cooler as soon as Christmas, when Reuters is reporting Google will debut its Android music service

Google plans to launch both an iTunes-style music download store, as well as a "digital song locker," where users will be able to play songs on the go via a wi-fi connection.  


The much-anticipated move will make Google and Apple direct competitors in the U.S. digital music market, where iTunes currently boasts a 70 percent market share.
