The new Smashing Pumpkins song sounds like a Beatles song

Smashing Pumpkins are sweeping through town in a few weeks, when they headline the Buzz Beach Ball on Saturday, September 25. Tickets are still available. 

Today, the band released a free download of a new song. It's called "Spangled," and between the harpsichord and the melody it sounds like something the Beatles might have done circa 1967. (Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, which is the name of the evolving album "Spangled" will eventually appear on, also has a certain hippie-phase Beatles ring to it.)

Pick it up at Sweet Relief, a fund that raises money for musicians.
