It is a well-rounded group of individuals that report to you from this Wayward Blog. In addition to knowing certain things about music, we also enjoy drinking and eating delicious substances! The finest of tastes, we have!
And so it comes to pass that we bring you news of the
Westend Stampede, a benefit walk through western Midtown establishments complete with complimentary Boulevard beers and tasty food plates. It's organized by the
Westend Merchants of Kansas City to benefit the
Westport Cooperative Services' Meals on Wheels program, and afterward there's live music at the Record Bar.
It happens Saturday, October 16, from noon to 6 p.m. Five dollars of the $15 fee goes to charity. The live music at Record Bar comes courtesy of June Bug and the Porch Lights.
The venues: Boozefish, Bluestem, the Point, Record Bar, Pot Pie, the Filling Station, Westport Flea Market and Cupini's. More info
here.
