The National's at the Uptown tonight.
The National's High Violet is one of the best albums of the year -- one of those albums where the songs you didn't even think were that good at first become your favorite songs. And they're at the Uptown tonight. Very exciting!
In case you missed it, yesterday the band announced that it will reissue an expanded version of High Violet on November 22.
The reissue will include two new songs, three live versions of Violet songs, and an alternate version of "Terrible Love." Tracklist:
1. "Terrible Love" (Alternate Version)
2. "Wake Up Your Saints"
3. "You Were a Kindness"
4. "Walk Off"
5. "Sin-Eaters"
6. "Bloodbuzz Ohio" (Live on The Current)
7. "Anyone's Ghost" (Live at Brooklyn Academy of Music)
8. "England" (Live at Brooklyn Academy of Music)
And here's the band doing "Afraid of Everyone" on Letterman:
