What music icon would keep you from jumping off a building?

T.I. has done his good deed for today. After hearing that an Atlanta man was perched on top of a skyscraper, the rapper recorded a video on his phone and drove to the scene, asking to speak to him.

"I told him it ain't that bad. It'll get better, to put the time and effort into making it better," T.I. said in a phone interview with The Associated Press, adding that the man seemed "beat up by life."

"I just reminded him ... that I know it looks bad right now, but it can turn around."

He also said that the man should live his life, and that, if he comes down, he can have whatever he likes. Ahem.

The point is: what musical icon could talk you down from impending death? Would it take someone who's had some hard knocks in life, too? (Maybe Johnny Cash, MJ or Eminem?) Would it take someone who you've idolized? (Leonard Cohen, Morrissey, Tom Waits or Bjork?) Would you choose someone who's really fucking smart (Issac Brock, Sting or the Doobie Brothers' Jeff "Skunk" Baxter), someone crazy (Brian Wilson or Lauryn Hill) or someone who would tell you to jump anyway (Bob Dylan, Lou Reed or Kurt Cobain)?

Hm. Me, personally? Aimee Mann. What about you?
