Chris Martin and his band of sleepy balladeers are leading the Brits towards the land of nod. In a recent survey, Britain rated the top ten artists that put them to sleep, and Coldplay tops the list. Popping Taylor Swift, Leona Lewis and Alicia Keys into the CD player helps music-lovers across the pond get in the mood to score some Z's, too. (Though Brits also think that "Sweet Home Alabama" is the best summer driving song, so it's best to take these ratings with a grain of salt.) We only have one question: what happened to Norah Jones, patron saint of wine, candles and middle-aged sex?
Here's the list, in its entirety. Who's missing? (Sigur Ros, Death Cab for Cutie and Iron and Wine seem like likely candidates.)
1. Coldplay
2. Michael Buble
3. Snow Patrol
4. Alicia Keys
5. Jack Johnson
6. Taylor Swift
7. Mozart
8. Barry White
9. Leona Lewis
10. Radiohead
