Craig Finn sings as Kiki Dee with Frightened Rabbit; the Hold Steady are still coming to Columbia this month

I keep forgetting that the best rock band in the world, the fucking Hold Steady, are playing the Blue Note in a matter of weeks, on Thursday, November 18.  

I was reminded of the show yesterday when I happened upon a video of frontman Craig Finn performing a cover of the Elton John and Kiki Dee classic duet "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart," with fellow awesome rock band Frightened Rabbit on Saturday night.


Via Brooklyn Vegan. Frightened Rabbit is releasing a studio version of the song with Finn on the B-side of their upcoming single, "The Loneliness and the Scream." Here's the live version at Terminal 5 in NYC:
