Whitney Houston has bite. Hidden Pictures' newest EP, named after the frequently sweat-drenched singer, is chock-full of ear-worming melodies like its last EP, Choosing Sides. Houston's got something more than Choosing Sides' sweet, incredibly catchy tunes, though: slightly acidic electric guitar. Paired with Richard Gintowt's signature melodies, it's one triplet of songs that will withstand six months' worth of repeated listens. (Though, hopefully, we won't have to wait that long to hear a full-length from the Lawrence band; they've reported that Hidden Pictures album will be out by the year's end.)
Download it for three bucks over at the band's Band Camp. Check out these new songs live at the Eighth Street Taproom with Cowboy Indian Bear on November 12.

Makes me very happy to see this stunning piece design working together with a Cuba Gallery image.
