Earlier this year, I went out to the North-East Kansas City Public Library and spent a day with Jeremy McConnell, Aaron Sutton and Roscoe Johnson, the guys who run the Hip Hop Academy. They're doing inspiring work -- read about it here

Former Pitch music editor Jason Harper works for the Kansas City Public Library these days, developing web content. Kind of like what we do here on the Wayward Blog, except much more noble! Anyway, last month he spent some time filming some Hip Hop Academy events and put together a short video about it. Watch it -- it will make you less cynical.
