It's so true what they say: When news related to the Get Up Kids rains, news related to the Get Up Kids pours. Last Friday, we told y'all about the new TGUK album, There Are Rules. Then Monday, there was news of band member James Dewees' side project Reggie and the Full Effect reuniting for a New Years' show.

Today: more TGUK-related news, for you to use! TGUK guitarist Jim Suptic's band Blackpool Lights has scheduled its first shows in years.

Late pass: it looks like these were announced a few weeks ago. I only saw them today because Suptic got on the Get Up Kids' Twitter and promoted them. Which was smart of him, because now I am following Blackpool Lights. Either way, the KC date is Saturday, Dec. 4 at RecordBar. They're also playing in Columbia at the Blue Note on Monday, Dec. 6. And according to their tweeting, they'll have a new EP up online in the next few weeks. So be on the lookout for that.
