The new Cowtown Mallroom.
For three years back in the 70s, the Cowtown Ballroom -- which you may know better as the El Torreon space -- hosted some killer parties. The Flying Burrito Brothers played there! They even
made a documentary about it.
Starting this Sunday, the space will host the Cowtown Mallroom, which sounds like a pretty cool DIY antique mall.
It'll be open every Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm, and there will be lots of vintage collectibles, art, furniture, and the like. More info can be found on their
Facebook page.
In celebration of the opening, Howard Iceberg and the Titanics will be playing a set this Sunday at 2 pm at the Mallroom. Live local music and antiquing -- sounds like a pretty solid Sunday to me.
3101 Gillham. Do it.
