Where We Pee: Johnnie's on 7th

Posted by on Thu, Dec 16, 2010 at 7:34 AM

KCK, baby.
  • KCK, baby.
Where We Pee is a weekly look at the excretory facilities of the music venues and cool-kid hangouts around town

Johnnie's is an old bar on 7th Street in KCK that was reopened last month by former Harlings bartender Chris O'Connor. I've been there about three times since it opened, and you know I'm urinating multiple times per night, son!

What are you, afraid of KCK? Don't be such a pussy. It's like two minutes west of the West Bottoms and ten minutes down Rainbow from KU Med. (Rainbow turns into 7th Street at Southwest Blvd.) And you should really check this place out: O'Connor and the other bartenders are super friendly, drinks are Harlings-cheap, and there's a foosball table and tons of vintage bar accoutrements.

I mean, look at that thing. Look at that guy's face!

But let's move on to the restrooms. They're nasty, yes, but the men's also has this impossibly old trough. You don't see these everyday.

Closer look.

Oh, hello, woman: Would you like to relieve yourself in the women's room? Right this way.
