Maybe / The Nostalgia Business

Lauryn Hill is stopping in St. Louis on her comeback tour; not inconceivable that she'll announce a Kansas City date

Ms. Lauryn Hill spent the better part of the aughts acting totally fucking batshit crazy. But this week has brought with a new crop of rumors, hearsay, and even confirmed dates for what appears to be a series of U.S. gigs. I am smelling a '90s comeback tour!


Over at sister blog A to Z in St. Louis, Zaleski is reporting that Hill's coming to the Pageant on Sunday, January 16. That is pretty soon! Tickets for that show are $53, and they're on sale tomorrow (Wednesday the 22nd) at 5 p.m. A Minneapolis show at First Avenue has also been announced, but the entire tour doesn't appear to be entirely mapped out just yet. We still have a chance!

Details if/when we get 'em.

Please save your money. I unfortunately paid $55 for tixs in Charlotte, NC for the 1/8/11 show and it was a huge waste of $$. She was 2.5 hrs late and I couldn't recognize any of her hits. For some reason she must think that singing her ballads super fast with different beats is appealing for the fans. I still will listen to her recorded songs in their original arrangement (listening to my ipod) but I will never pay to she her again. I honestly would have felt better buying $55 worth of lotto tix of cigarettes and I don't smoke and never have (I hope makes my point) Save your $$

Lauryn Hill at the Midland in '98 with Outkast is still one of the best shows I've ever seen. she had a 16 piece band, and was like 4 days fresh off winning all those Grammys
