The Foundation's weekend late-night jazz jam sessions are a true Kansas City treasure, and especially perfect for a night like New Year's Eve. On Friday, the party at the Foundation starts at midnight and runs until 6 a.m., providing a perfect way to keep the party going.

Harold O'Neal will lead the festivities, accompanied by a number of friends. It's $20 per person, which includes a "traditional New Year's good luck meal of collard greens and black-eyed peas." RSVP to 816-471-5212. Full bar available. This would be a better way to impress an out-of-towner than, say, Martini Corner. Is what I'm saying.
