UPDATE, Dec. 30, 11:42 AM: You can win tickets to see Gaga's date in Omaha. The Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau will give away two tickets to the March 17 Lady Gaga concert at Qwest Center Omaha. To win, go 'like' the official Omaha, NE Facebook page and fill in the entry form between now and Feb. 27. The winner will be randomly selected on February 28.

As Lady Gaga announced at her tour stop at the Sprint Center in August, the pop icon is dating a good ole Midwesterner. (She dedicated one of her new songs to her Nebraska love, Luc Carl.) Sightings of the star popped up around Omaha over the weekend, including a visit to the Waiting Room Lounge, where Gaga and her boyfriend stopped in to see Little Brazil, according to the Omaha World-Herald. We spoke to Maggie Cox, an Omaha resident, who happened upon Gaga -- and chatted with her -- in her yoga studio last night.

Cox knew that she was in town, but didn't know that she'd happen upon Lady Gaga in the last place she expected it.

"Last night I made plans to meet a friend for a 7:30 PM yoga class. There were only 3 or 4 people signed up. I walked in and there she was, bent over and wringing out yoga-sweat from her hair. I was like, 'Oh my god. That's totally Lady Gaga, in my yoga studio that I'm at every week.'

I said 'Hi,' and she looked up, and for a split second was like, 'What's this person going to try to do?' I told her I just got here for the next class. She's like, 'Vinyasa's great, but Bikram's kinda hot.'

We saw her strap on her huge leather jacket with big silver medallions, and huge shades. My friend was like, 'Maggie, were you just talking to Lady Gaga in the locker room?'
After getting the scoop from the instructor, Cox found that Gaga had requested that they lay a mat on the floor so she could sneak in and sneak out without having to be in the crowd of the studio class. Gaga donned "some sort of leather-type bra, and skimpy shorts."

So, little monsters: next time the holidays roll around, you'd best cross your fingers that Gaga's still infatuated with her Midwestern beau, and make a trip up to Omaha to spot her yourself.

She's pretty cool:) I was asked to be her personal server at the Horseshoe casino Monday night. She and her boyfriend were really laid back and a pleasure to serve. I hope to see them again.

Omaha has a lot of stuff on, including acts that the Slowdown draws that don't even touch Kansas City or even Lawrence, for that matter.

We've been known to report on music stuff in Omaha at times. Omaha (3 hours away) and Columbia (2 hours away) are both towns where the boundaries are hazy.

I usually don't participate in this kind of thing, but I feel like I had to respond to the rude comment I just read by Abe. Abe I am so sorry you are sooo jealous. I think that it is great the we had a celebrity visit Omaha and better yet she is see a local boy. I am an old lady in my sixties and I still am entertained by really good young talent as Lady Gaga. If I could afford it I would definitely take my granddaughters to see her

Aw, Abe. I do love it when you hate.
C'mon, isn't a first-hand sighting of a chart-topper at least worth a lil' blog post?

Quit acting like this untalented bitch is the second coming of Jesus Christ. This blog is starting to feel like an US Weekly article about how celebrities are "just like us!"
