Streetside Records isn't just auctioning off your grandparents' leftover records.
  • Streetside Records isn't just auctioning off your grandparents' leftover records.

Whether they're reopening as another record store, Streetside Records is officially celebrating the end of its vinyl-slinging era with a party tomorrow night at Westport's newest bar, the Union. Store employees will be on hand, spinning music that ranges from Brit-pop to garage, soul and indie favorites. We also hear that they'll be auctioning off the last of the store's vinyl collection, and rumor has it that the collection runs deeper than the shelves of depleted Perry Cuomo selections currently on display.

This will be a great night to see the Jameson swilling and yard-beer chugging of Kansas City in cohort with its finest music aficionados (or are they the same thing?). As always, the Union has no cover. The party starts at 10 p.m. Here's the Facebook event for more details.
