Lawrence's beloved crate-digging haven, LoveGarden Sounds, celebrates its 21st anniversary in February, and it's hosting a throw-down of a party. They'll be flying in garage-punk band Reigning Sound for a night of whiskey-slinging fun -- a special event that is sure to sell out at the intimate Jackpot Music Hall. In fact, they're so sure it will sell out that advance tickets cost more than day-of tickets at the door.
Reigning Sound will be joined by local acts Suzannah Johannes, Miles Bonny and Approach, and Mouthbreathers to complete an oddly diverse lineup.
LoveGarden's coming-of-age party goes down Saturday, February 5. Advance tickets are available exclusively at LoveGarden for $15 (where you can also pick yourself up a limited-edition print of the event poster for $6), and tickets the day of the event -- if you can get in -- are $12. They'll also be kicking off the festivities in style: Greg Cartwright (of Reigning Sound and Oblivians) will host a special DJ night at the Eighth Street Taproom on February 4.
