Arcade Fire may not be the most weed-friendly of bands, but you can still try to smuggle in your blunts to Starlight for the band's 4-20 date in Kansas City with the National.

Here's video from the last time that Arcade Fire was in town at Starlight: 2007, when the band was touring with LCD Soundsystem for Neon Bible. (I've heard from various sources that LCD Soundsystem blew Arcade Fire out of the water on that date. Were you there?)
Showing 1-8 of 8
I went to that show in 2007 strictly to see Arcade Fire (had never heard LCD Soundsystem at that point) & although I thought both performances were amazing I felt that LCD's show was better - it blew me away frankly.
Oh & I brought weed that night & will again for this show!
Saw the show w/ LCD Soundsystem. It was a very strange lineup, in my opinion - two completely different styles of music, and I can't imagine too many people are big fans of both groups. Not one person I know referred to the show as "Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem"; they only referred to the band they wanted to see. From a performance standpoint, I found Arcade Fire much more engaging. An hour of LCD Soundsystem felt extremely repetitive, but I also wasn't there to dance and eat drugs.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 27, at 10AM. Get 'em fast. The Chicago double-show sold out quickly.
Most "hipsters" of my acquaintance, if they use recreational drugs at all (not ALL do, y'know) either smoke weed or take mushrooms. Only idiots use coke.
Doubt they'll be much weed. Hipsters tend to gravitate towards coke as their drug of choice. Won't matter though, no amount of drugs could make this band entertaining.
