Kansas City can claim a lot of great hip-hop performers, and one the best has just been added to the ridiculously awesome Paid Dues independent hip-hop festival. Krizz Kaliko -- henceforth known as Krizzly Bear, Krizz Kringle, or simply the Krizz -- will perform as part of a lineup that includes the reunited Black Star (Mos Def and Talib Kweli), DJ Muggs, Lil B the Based God and my personal favorite, Dead Prez. Unfortunately you're gonna have to start walking now: The festival is in San Bernadino, California, April 2.
For more info, check out the Paid Dues Festival homepage.
Bonus Kaliko news: Krizz will perform this Friday at the Beaumont Club with Irv Da Phenom before embarking on the Strange Noize tour, a collaboration between Krizz's label Strange Music and the label Suburban Noize. The show is all-ages. Tickets are $10. Doors open at 7 p.m.
